Clove Darr

I am a ceramic artist originally from Austin, Texas. I graduated from Southwestern University in 2020 with dual degrees in Art and Art History with a focus in ceramics. In 2022, I left Texas and moved to Pittsburgh for more career opportunities and to find a home in a more livable city. I mainly create functional pottery, especially cups and planters inspired by the scenic views of Pittsburgh.

 

More recently, I've started developing more sculptural work exploring themes of home and relocation, using found materials and surfaces. I enjoy creating my own techniques and sharing ideas with our artists at Studio Forget-Me-Not. I'm often inspired by seeing our dedicated clay artists explore the process of making, and I learn a lot from teaching the Next Level program.
